Record and edit effect automation

Choose a control

In the effect editor, open Session automation and select a parameter or Module enabled. Each selected control has its own automation lane. A recorded lane changes the parameter over the instrument loop.

Record controls

Choose Touch overwrite or Replace loop, then Record controls. Playback starts if needed. Move the parameter while playback runs; Finish recording controls ends capture. Touch overwrite writes the portions you touch; Replace loop replaces the loop’s control movement. Opening help is blocked until control recording is finished.

Edit and resume

Add curve or Edit curve opens the selected lane. Tap or drag to draw values across the instrument loop: the top is 100%, the bottom 0%. Linear connects points with ramps; Hold retains each value until the next point, useful for switches. Clear returns the draft to a single initial value. Save curve commits it; Remove curve deletes the lane. A manual control change can override automation; Resume automation returns that control to its lane. Note recording and control recording are separate.
