Envelope Filter · individual module
Sound and starting point
A filter whose sweep follows playing strength, or direct modulation when enabled. Set Sensitivity to suit the incoming level.
Envelope Filter · Direct Control
Uses Freq. Mod to control the filter movement directly instead of deriving it from the playing envelope. Choices: Off, On.
Envelope Filter · Type
Chooses low-pass, band-pass, or high-pass filtering. Low-pass removes highs; high-pass removes lows; band-pass emphasizes a middle region. Choices: Lowpass, Bandpass, Highpass.
Envelope Filter · Freq.
Sets the filter’s base frequency. Sweep it to change which frequency region the effect emphasizes or removes.
Envelope Filter · Freq. Mod
Sets the direct modulation amount when Direct Control is enabled. It changes the filter sweep without requiring a harder or softer note.
Envelope Filter · Resonance
Emphasizes the filter’s cutoff region. Increase for a stronger vowel-like sound; reduce for gentler shaping.
Envelope Filter · Sensitivity
Sets how strongly playing level drives the envelope. Adjust it to your note strength so both soft and hard notes produce a useful sweep.
Envelope Filter · Speed
Sets how quickly the envelope follower responds. Use slower changes for smoother movement and faster changes for a more percussive response.
Use in the rig
Add this module from the effect catalogue and select its position before amp, after amp, or after cabinet. Use the module enable switch to compare bypassed sound. Hold and drag its chain card to reorder; Duplicate makes another instance and Remove deletes it. In a session, automation can change its controls over the loop. Save sound preset stores the rig for reuse.
