Keys sound controls
Sound family and macros
Choose a preset family to establish the sound. Brightness adjusts its tone and Motion adjusts movement. Tail, Pluck, or Glide provides a performance macro appropriate to the family. Level controls sound output.
Envelope
Attack is how quickly a note reaches full level. Decay is the time to fall to Sustain; Sustain is the held-note level. Release is the tail after letting go. Use a longer Attack and Release for pads and shorter values for rhythmic parts.
Tone and movement
Waveform choices establish harmonic character. Brightness changes filter cutoff; Resonance emphasizes the cutoff region. Motion adds movement. Changes can affect held notes, so use Stop keys when comparing clean starts.
Mono, Poly, and arpeggiator reference
Mono plays one voice at a time; Poly allows chords. Glide is available in Mono mode. The arpeggiator switch enables the repeating pattern. Choose 1/8 or 1/16 subdivision, the displayed direction, and one to three octaves. Gate sets how much of each step remains held: short gates sound detached, longer gates connect. Recording captures the played pattern, including Brightness and Motion movements.
Effects
The effects section processes the keys sound. Read each module's reference for its controls. A long release combined with delay or reverb can build up over a busy arrangement; reduce tails or the channel level if necessary.
