Tube Screamer · Diodes
Selects the clipping diode model, changing breakup and dynamics. Match output level before comparing choices. Choices: GZ34, 1N34, 1N4148.
Tube Screamer · Gain
Increases signal into this stage. In drive modules this also increases distortion; in a clean gain stage it chiefly changes level.
Tube Screamer · # Diodes
Changes the clipping diode count and therefore the clipping threshold/response. Adjust Gain again after changing it.
Tube Screamer · On/Off
Enables or bypasses this internal processor. The whole module also has its own enable switch. Choices: Off, On.
TS-Tone · On/Off
Enables or bypasses this internal processor. The whole module also has its own enable switch. Choices: Off, On.
TS-Tone · Tone
Changes the balance of dark and bright frequencies. Compare both ends at matched volume, then choose a position that fits the backing.
Clean Gain · Gain
Increases signal into this stage. In drive modules this also increases distortion; in a clean gain stage it chiefly changes level.
Clean Gain · On/Off
Enables or bypasses this internal processor. The whole module also has its own enable switch. Choices: Off, On.
Clean Gain · Extend
Enables the extended clean-gain range. Use Extended Gain for the wider range and compare levels carefully. Choices: Off, On.
Clean Gain · Extended Gain
Sets gain in the extended range when Extend is enabled. It can push following stages harder than the ordinary gain range.
Clean Gain · Invert
Flips signal polarity. Use it when comparing blended signal paths; it does not by itself change a solo signal’s pitch. Choices: Off, On.
Use in the rig
Add this module from the effect catalogue and select its position before amp, after amp, or after cabinet. Use the module enable switch to compare bypassed sound. Hold and drag its chain card to reorder; Duplicate makes another instance and Remove deletes it. In a session, automation can change its controls over the loop. Save sound preset stores the rig for reuse.
