Source, amplifier, cabinet, and output controls
Source
Guitar source chooses the instrument sample set, including Metal Guitar and Classic Guitar. Import sound pack adds compatible sources and cabinets. Bass source offers Pick and Finger. A different source changes the signal reaching all later modules.
Amplifier controls
Swap amp selects a model; its enable switch bypasses the amplifier. Gain drives the preamp. Bass, Middle, and Treble shape frequency balance. Master drives the power stage, so it can change breakup as well as loudness. Output sets the final rig level (up to 200%). More controls reveals Response, which adds compression and bloom, and Body, which changes fullness. Bass also has Clean lows to retain low-end clarity alongside drive. Use suggested cabinet selects the cabinet paired with that amp. Fewer controls closes the expanded area.
Cabinet and microphone blend
The cabinet enable switch bypasses speaker processing. Bass offers Tight or Warm enclosures. Guitar Mic 1 selects the main response; a response with an impulse recording can also use Mic 2. Mic 1 level and Mic 2 level balance them. Invert mic 2 changes its polarity; Mic 2 offset shifts alignment in samples. Align mics resets the offset to zero. Use Off to remove Mic 2. If the blend sounds thin, compare polarity and alignment before adding more bass.
Cabinet tone shaping
Tone shaping enables the cabinet's additional controls. Low cut removes rumble; High cut softens harsh treble. Gate sets the low-level gating threshold and Gate hold delays its closing. Tightness controls low-end damping. Presence shapes upper-frequency bite; Depth shapes low-frequency weight. Drag a dial up or down, or tap its value to enter an exact number. You can continue adjusting while the sound updates. Reset tone restores these shaping controls and keeps the microphone selections, levels, polarity, alignment, and Tone shaping on/off setting.
Rig output
The final Rig level module offers Output, up to 200%. Use it to match sounds before comparing them. Use the session mixer to balance the instrument against the band; that is separate from gain driving the amp.
Legacy amplifier controls
Legacy amp models use Drive, Body, and Output instead of the expanded amplifier controls. Drive changes breakup, Body changes fullness, and Output balances the rig. Use the controls actually shown for the selected model.
