American Sound · expanded controls
Sound and starting point
A combined American-style drive and tone chain. Each processor’s name prefixes its controls; compare one section at a time.
Blonde Tone · Bass
Shapes low-frequency weight. Reduce it if low notes become muddy; increase for body when there is space in the arrangement.
Blonde Tone · Mids
Shapes midrange emphasis or scoop. Raise mids for presence in a dense band; lower them for a more hollow sound.
Blonde Tone · On/Off
Enables or bypasses this internal processor. The whole module also has its own enable switch. Choices: Off, On.
Blonde Tone · Treble
Shapes high-frequency detail. Increase for clarity and bite; reduce if pick attacks are harsh.
Blonde Drive · Bias
Changes the operating point of the drive circuit, altering symmetry and breakup. Compare at the same drive and output level.
Blonde Drive · Character
Changes the amplifier-style drive character. Sweep it to find the desired body and edge, then refine the tone controls.
Blonde Drive · Drive
Increases drive into the clipping stage. Higher settings add breakup and compression. Start low and match output level before comparing.
Blonde Drive · On/Off
Enables or bypasses this internal processor. The whole module also has its own enable switch. Choices: Off, On.
Blonde Drive · High Quality
Selects the processor’s higher-quality processing path. Compare its tone and device load; it can cost more processing time. Choices: Off, On.
Use in the rig
Add this module from the effect catalogue and select its position before amp, after amp, or after cabinet. Use the module enable switch to compare bypassed sound. Hold and drag its chain card to reorder; Duplicate makes another instance and Remove deletes it. In a session, automation can change its controls over the loop. Save sound preset stores the rig for reuse.
