Sound and starting point
A RAT drive section followed by a high-cut filter. Internal enable controls allow comparison of drive and filtering separately.
Distortion
Sets the amount of clipping. Increase for a denser, more compressed sound; reduce to retain pick dynamics.
Filter
Darkens the distortion as the filter control is turned up. Use it to tame harshness after setting the drive.
Volume
Balances output after processing. It is separate from the amount of distortion.
Drive enabled
Bypasses or enables the internal drive section while retaining the other sections and their settings.
Filter enabled
Bypasses or enables the post-distortion filter. Keep it enabled when you need to soften harsh treble.
Use in the rig
Add this module from the effect catalogue and select its position before amp, after amp, or after cabinet. Use the module enable switch to compare bypassed sound. Hold and drag its chain card to reorder; Duplicate makes another instance and Remove deletes it. In a session, automation can change its controls over the loop. Save sound preset stores the rig for reuse.
