Back up and recover your work

Make a backup

Open Settings > Backup and recovery > Export backup. Choose a destination outside RiffJam, such as a document folder you can copy off the device. The backup includes sessions, drafts, personal parts, sounds, favourites, and imported sounds.

Restore safely

Choose Import file or backup, select the .rjbackup file, and read the summary. Restore adds its content while keeping the current session and existing work. Conflicts become copies. Look in Recovery drafts for the backed-up current session.

What is separate

Device preferences and purchases are separate from music backups. Restore purchases uses the store account, not the backup file. An exported sound pack is useful when moving imported sounds independently.

Factory reset

Factory reset is destructive: it clears local app work and settings after confirmation. It is a troubleshooting last step, not routine maintenance. Verify that your external backup exists before resetting or uninstalling.

STILL STUCK?
