Tuning and string layout
Choose tuning
Open Tuning from the instrument sound workspace, or use the tuning controls in Session Settings. Select a standard or drop tuning. Guitar and bass have their own tuning choices. Guitar string-count controls are available where shown. These choices set the live instrument's open-string pitches.
Existing notes
Changing tuning does not transpose recorded pitches. It changes how notes relate to string/fret positions, so inspect existing tab after a tuning change. Use Undo when offered to restore the previous tuning.
Layout versus tuning
Low string: top/bottom and left/right picking hand are layout preferences in Settings. They change how you reach the strings, not their musical tuning.
